The Boston Banshees are a founding member of Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), based in the Boston, Massachusetts. The team was founded in January 2025, and competed in the inaugural WER season that year.

The Bay Breakers played in WER’s first ever game on 22nd March, 2025 against the New York Exiles at Mount Vernon Memorial Stadium. The Banshees play their home games out of Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Quincy, the home of MLR’s New England Free Jacks.
