The New York Exiles travel to the Twin Cities to face the Gemini at TCO Stadium during Round 5 of the 2026 WER season!

The 2025 runners-up come into this game having swept the Gemini during last year’s regular season. The Exiles lead the head-to-head series 2-0 following a 31-22 home victory in their most recent meeting during Round 9 last year.

This was a different Gemini team to last season, however. The hosts opened the scoring just 3 minutes in through Megan Ahnen, and hardly looked back. TC shut out the exiles through the first 40 minutes while scoring 4 tries of their own to secure the try bonus point, and took a 24-0 lead into the break. The Exiles got on the board first in the second half, but the Gemini kept up with last season’s runners up and the two teams alternated scoring through the second frame.

Each team managed 3 tries in the second half, but the TC Gemini take a big 41-19 victory thanks to their dominant first half, and improve to 4-1 at the top of the WER table. At the other end of the standings in 6th, the Exiles fall to 1-4 as their struggles to find momentum continue.
