Wisconsin native Katrina ‘Trina’ Nunes played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the Twin Cities Gemini for their entire WER career.

Trina Nunes was named on the TC Gemini bench for the team’s first ever game on 23rd March, 2025. Nunes has previously played in the WPL with the Twin Cities Amazons, as well as the Midwest Thunderbirds. She was named as a Foundational Five player for the TC Gemini. Nunes appeared in all 10 games for the TC Gemini during WER’s inaugural season, starting 6 times and scoring 1 try in the first year of competition. She returned for a second season with the Gemini in 2026.
