New York native Congetta ‘Jetta’ Owens played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the New York Exiles for her entire WER career.

Jetta Owens was named as one of the New York Exiles ‘Foundational Five’ ahead of their inaugural season, and was selected as a starter in the NY Exiles’ lineup for WER’s first ever game on 22nd March, 2025. She discovered rugby while attending Virginia Tech, has played with the Locals in the Premier Rugby Sevens competition, and was included in a USA Rugby Talent ID Camp at the start of 2025. She appeared in all 11 of the NY Exiles’ matches in the inaugural season of WER, starting all 11 games and scoring 4 tries and 72pts in total to help the team finish as Legacy Cup Runners Up in their first season.

Owens returned for a second season with the Exiles in 2026.
