California native Serena Liu played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the Twin Cities Gemini for her entire WER career.

Serena Liu was named in the starting lineup for TC Gemini’s first ever game on 23rd March, 2025. She has previously played with the Berkeley All Blues, as well as the San Clemente Rhinos in the World Tens Championship. Liu appeared in all 10 of the Gemini’s games during the inaugural WER season, starting 8 times and scoring a try. She returned for a second year with the team in 2026.
