The Denver Onyx host the Bay Breakers as both teams play their first match of the inaugural Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) season in 2025!

Featuring a handful of capped USA Eagles on each side, it was the Denver Onyx who got their inaugural season off to a flying start, with a big 63-7 victory over the Bay Breakers. This sets new WER single-game records for most points by a team (63), most tries by a team (9), and biggest winning margin (56pts). McKenzie Hawkins also set a WER record for most successful kicks in a single game, going 8/8 from the tee!
