Colorado native Kelsie O’Brien played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the Denver Onyx (2025) and the Boston Banshees (2026).

Kelsie O’Brien earned her WER debut in Round 2 of the 2025 season, when she was named in the Denver Onyx starting lineup against the Bay Breakers, the first game in Onyx history. She has previously represented the Colorado Gray Wolves in the WPL, and has played with the USA team in numerous camps. O’Brien was a standout for the Denver Onyx in a standout season. She started 5 of her 9 appearances in the first year of WER competition, helping the Onyx claim the inaugural Legacy Cup title. O’Brien returned for a second season in WER the following year, but switched from the Denver Onyx to the Boston Banshees. She earned her Banshees debut in the starting XV of their Rd 5 clash against the Bay Breakers.
