New Jersey native Veronica Blair played in Women’s Elite Rugby during it’s inaugural 2025 season. She represented the New York Exiles for her entire WER career.

Veronica Blair was signed by the TC Gemini part-way through WER’s inaugural season. She earned her WER debut when she was named in the NY Exiles reserves for their Round 7 clash with the TC Gemini. Blair attended Mount St. Mary’s University and represented the Women’s Rugby team while there. She has also represented Jamaica internationally for both rugby league, and rugby union at both 15s and 7s levels.

She has previously played with Tempe Rugby’s D1 team in Arizona, and has represented the DC Furies (2018), NYRC (2019), and the Colorado Gray Wolves (2022-2023) in the WPL.

Sophie Pyrz was signed by the TC Gemini part-way through WER’s inaugural season. She earned her WER debut when she was named in the TC Gemini reserves for their Round 7 clash with the New York Exiles. Pyrz has previously played with the Life University Running Eagles as well as both the Serengeti Elephants and San Clemente Rhinos in the Rugby Tens Championship. Pryz is a capped USA Eagle, earning her test debut as Eagle #327 against Japan in August 2024.

She has previously represented Chicago North Shore, captaining the WPL team alongside Tempest teammate Kadie Sanford, as well as the San Clemente Rhinos in the 2024 Rugby Tens Championship, and the Chicago Lions
