Fijian born California native Bulou Mataitoga played in Women’s Elite Rugby during it’s inaugural season in 2025. She represented the Bay Breakers for her entire WER career.

Mataitoga moved from Fiji to the USA at age 19 in 2013, and has represented the Loughborough Lightning in England’s PWR since the 2021/22 season. She has represented the USA as Eagle #286 at both 7s and 15s level. Bulou Mataitoga earned her WER debut in Round 2 of the 2025 season, when she was named in the Bay Breakers starting lineup against the Denver Onyx, the first game in Breakers history. She scored 4 tries in 3 games (all starts) for the Bay Breakers during their inaugural campaign.

Following the 2025 WER season, Mataitoga represented the USA at the Rugby World Cup in England before returning to the Lightning for the 2025/26 season, and was invited to the USA Eagles’ UK Alignment Camp in early 2026.
