Tyler Rowland

Canadian prop Tyler Rowland played in Major League Rugby between 2020-2024. He represented the Toronto Arrows (2020-2023), and Old Glory DC (2024).

Ontario native Rowland is a capped Canadian international, having earned 9 caps for Canada since his international debut against Wales in July 2021 (through 2023). Rowland was signed in November 2019 ahead of the 2020 MLR season. In that truncated season, he earned 3 MLR caps, which he followed up with 12 (7 starts) and his first (and as of the conclusion of the 2023 season, only) MLR try. Through his first 4 MLR seasons, Rowland earned 41 MLR caps (20 starts) scoring 1 try. His high for appearances came in 2022, when he earned 14 (4 starts).

On 27th September, 2023, the Arrows announced that they had re-signed Tyler Rowland for the 2024 MLR season, where he was hoping to reach 50 caps in MLR. However, in late November 2023, the Arrows and MLR announced that they would not compete in the 2024 season due to financial difficulties. In early December that year, a dispersal draft was held for Toronto and NY players (the Ironworkers also announced that they would not compete in 2024 a week after the Arrows) and Rowland was selected 4th overall by Rugby FC LA. Later that month, RFCLA traded Rowland to Old Glory DC in exchange for 2024 Salary Cap Considerations (unknown), and the Flags confirmed this signing on 29th December 2023, ahead of the 2024 season.

Between 2012-2014 he played with the Southland Stags in the ITM Cup (later the Mitre 10, now the NPC) before moving to Australia and representing the Greater Sydney Rams in the Australian Nation Rugby Championship (NRC). He returned for the 2021 season as the Arrows’ primary place-kicker, and recorded 104pts in 12 games (11 starts), finishing 5th in the league. Adams was one of the Arrows players that never got to play a game in Toronto, having started on the road in 2020 and playing the entire 2021 season out of Atlanta due to border restrictions between the US & Canada as a result of COVID-19. He earned 17 MLR caps in total, 16 starts, and scored 1 try and 113pts.

Manuel Diana

Uruguayan back row Manuel Diana played in Major League Rugby between 2020-2021. He represented the Toronto Arrows for his entire MLR career.

Diana joined the Toronto Arrows ahead of the 2020 Major League Rugby season, scoring 2 tries and starting all 5 games as the Arrows went 4-1 before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the season down. He returned the following year, scoring another 3 tries and starting 12 of his 13 appearances for Toronto, recording an even 900m gained and completing over 100 tackles as the Arrows spent the 2021 season on the road, based out of Atlanta.

Following the arduous 2021 campaign, Manuel Diana returned to his native Uruguay, signing with Super Rugby Americas franchise Peñarol. Since departing MLR, Diana has represented Uruguay at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, and have helped Peñarol claim 3 SRA titles in 2022, 2023, and in 2025, when Diana captained the side.

Tomás de la Vega

Buenos Aires native de la Vega represented the Los Pumas U20 side at two IRB World Rugby U20 Championships between 2009-2010 and played with Club Universitario de Buenas Aires (CUBA) in Argentina since 2010, as well as playing with Pampas XV from 2011-2014. De la Vega earned his full test debut for Los Pumas against Chile in May 2011, and earned 12 caps for the Argentinian National Team between 2011-2014. De la Vega is a man of many talents, and is an attorney as well as professional athlete.

De la Vega originally had a deal to join MLR with the New England Free Jacks, but when this fell through he joined the Toronto Arrows ahead of the 2020 season. He appeared in all 5 games of the truncated 2020 season before the COVID-19 Pandemic cancelled the rest of the season. He was in the league’s Top 10 tacklers in 2020 and would prove a fearsome tackler throughout his time in MLR. He earned 29 caps (26 starts) with the Arrows across 3 seasons, scoring 5 tries (including 4 in 2021) and completing 383 tackles including a huge 222 in the 2021 season when he finished 2nd league-wide behind teammate Lucas Rumball.

Despite spending 3 seasons with Toronto, de la Vega did not play an MLR game in Toronto until 2023, due to starting the 2020 season on the road and playing the 2021 season out of Atlanta.

In late November 2023 the Toronto Arrows and MLR announced that the Arrows would not compete in the 2024 season due to financial difficulties. A week later, the Rugby New York Ironworkers announced that they too would not compete in the 2024 season. Richardson scored 3 tries in 15 games (all starts) for the Dallas Jackals that year, helping them to qualify for the post-season. Unfortunately, Richardson was injured while representing Canada in their July tests, while ruled him out from representing the Jackals in the post-season.

Following the announcement that the Dallas Jackals were withdrawing from MLR, Richardson did not declare for the Dispersal Draft. He represented Canada once again in their November tests, before announcing his retirement from rugby on Instagram on December 3rd, 2024 at the age of 28.
