Founded in 2017 with it’s inaugural season played in 2018, Major League Rugby (MLR) is the highest level of professional rugby in North America.
2022 – RD 4: Old Glory DC v Toronto Arrows
The Toronto Arrows travelled down to Washington D.C. to face Old Glory at Segra Field.
The scoreline was onesided, with the visitors taking a 5-29 bonus point victory back across the border. The Flags made 233 successful tackles in this game, a season-high for tackles made as a team at the time. Cory Daniel and Stan South made 29 & 27 tackles respectively, putting them both into the top 10 in league history for tackles made in a single game. On the Arrows side, they gained 1,202m with ball in hand, a club record at the time and MLR season high as well as the 5th highest MGained in league history at the time.

The Houston SaberCats edge the Dallas Jackals in a Texas Cup clash during Round 3 of the 2022 Major League Rugby season at Choctaw Stadium in Dallas.

Ironworkers2022 – RD 3: NOLA Gold v Toronto Arrows
The Toronto Arrows continue their early-season road trip with a visit to Louisiana to face the NOLA Gold at the Gold Mine.
Squeaking out a 23-24 victory, this marks the first time in club history that the Arrows have defeated the Gold, thanks in part to 14pts from the boot of Sam Malcolm
2022 – Rd 3: Old Glory DC v New England Free Jacks
The New England Free Jacks travel to the Nation’s capital to face Old Glory DC at Segra Field.
Old Glory DC gained a total of 1,061m with ball in hand in this game, at the time a season-high for 2022. DC fullback Owen Sheehy alone gained 225m, also a season-high and the most metres gained by a player in a game since Dylan Taikato-Simpson gained 229m in Round 9 of 2019 (a MLR record). On the other side of the ball the Free Jacks made 232 successful tackles, also a single-game season high for 2022.

This game stands out as one of the very few times in Major league Rugby history that a single player has scored 100% of his team’s points in a winning effort. In this case, Ed Fidow scored all 10 of NY’s points through 2 tries.
