2019 – RD 13: Seattle Seawolves v NOLA Gold

The Seattle Seawolves put in a huge defensive effort against the NOLA Gold, to emerge victors despite only scoring 1 try to the Gold’s 4.

Seawolves Flankers Brad Tucker and Nakai Penny put in enormous defensive performances. Tucker completed all 28 of his tackles to set a new MLR Single-Game record, surpassing 4 players with 25 including fellow Seattle flanker Eric Duechle. Nakai Penny completed all 27 of his attempts, which would have been a record in itself if not for Tucker’s 28 tackles.

Seattle Seawolves flanker Eric Duechle successfully completed 25 tackles in this game, setting a new MLR signel-game record for tackles completed by a player! He surpassed his own previous record of 24, set in Round 7 of 2018.

2018 RD 6: Seattle Seawolves v NOLA Gold

This game marked the 2nd time in Major League Rugby history that a team scored 50+ points. In addition, Seattle’s 55pts was at the time the most points scored by a single team in a MLR game.

2018 RD 5: Seattle Seawolves v Utah Warriors

The Seattle Seawolves completed 280 tackles in this game. Possibly a Major League Single-Game Record!

On the flip side, the Utah Warriors became the first MLR team to record over 1,000m gained in a single game, racking up 1470m gained for a MLR single-game record that smashed the previous record of 905m! Paul Lasike alone record 179m gained, another single-game record at the time!

2018 Rd 2: Seattle Seawolves v Glendale Raptors

This game marked the first time in Major League Rugby history that a team earned a losing Bonus Point. It was also the lowest scoring game in MLR history until Round 7 of 2018

2018 Rd 1: Seattle Seawolves v San Diego Legion

The first game in the storied rivalry between Seattle & San Diego took place when San Diego travelled up to Starfire Stadium in Round 1 of the inaugural 2018 MLR season.

The Seattle Seawolves recorded 3 penalty tries in the game. This could be considered the first hattrick in MLR history but as these cannot be attributed to a single player it is often discredited.
