Massachusetts native Paige Stathopoulos played in Women’s Elite Rugby during it’s inaugural season in 2025. She represented the Boston Banshees for her entire WER career.

Paige Stathopoulos began playing rugby while attending Boston College where she was named a Collegiate All-American, playing both rugby and ice hockey before continuing her rugby career with Beantown RFC in Boston. She first appeared on the USA rugby radar in 2015 and would tour Japan with the USA Falcons 7s side during the 2018 Sevens Series. At club level, Stathopoulos continued to represented Beantown RFC in the WPL and her patience paid off, as she earned her test debut as Eagle #320 against Wales in September 2023.

A capped USA Eagle, Paige Stathopoulos was named as captain of the Boston Banshees for WER’s first ever game on 22nd March, 2025. She started all 4 of her appearances for the Banshees during their inaugural WER campaign, and following the season, was selected to represented the USA at the 2025 Rugby World Cup in England. In January 2026, the Loughborough Lightning of England’s PWR announced the singing of Paige Stathopoulos for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign, and weeks later, she was included in the USA Eagles’ UK Alignment Camp roster.
