California native Mikey Grandy played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented Anthem RC for his entire MLR career.

A native of San Jose, Grandy grew up playing gridiron football and was a two-time All-Santa Clara Valley  Athletic League DeAnza Division Selection while at Palo Alto High School, before continuing his football career at the College of San Mateo before attending the University of Texas on a football scholarship where his football career was ended due to a concussion in 2018. He graduated in 2021 nonetheless and joined the Colorado XO program aimed at converting crossover athletes to rugby. Grandy toured Uruguay with the XOs and continued to represent the team after it was renamed the American Raptors, and played in Super Rugby Americas in South America.

On 15th October 2024, Grandy was included in the USA Rugby squad for their 2024 end-of-year tests as a reserve, and was listed as an Anthem RC player. During that tour, he earned his test debut as USA Eagle #585, coming off the bench during the US’ 36-17 victory over Tonga. Grandy’s move to Anthem was confirmed by the team on January 21st, 2025, when Anthem RC included him on their full 2025 roster. He started all 8 of his appearances for the Rising Stars in 2025, scoring his first MLR try and finishing with almost equal metres gained (73) and tackles made (72).
