Canadian back row Luke Campbell played in Major League Rugby between 2019-2022. He represented the Toronto Arrows (2019) and Old Glory DC (2021-22).

A native of Victoria, British Columbia, Luke Campbell represented the Canadian U20 team in 2012 before attending the University of Victoria between 2012-2016, playing rugby with the UVic Vikes Men’s team. He also represented the James Bay Athletics Association and the BC Bears at club level in the BC Men’s Premier Division. Campbell earned his full test debut for Canada against the USA in the 2018 Americas Rugby Championship and would earn 15 caps for Canada in his career, representing his country at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Campbell signed with the Toronto Arrows ahead of their inaugural MLR season in 2019, where he started all 5 of his appearances and scored his first pro try on over 300m gained in his debut season. He didn’t feature in the 2020 campaign that was cancelled after only 5 rounds, but signed with Old Glory DC ahead of the 2021 season where he tied his 2019 total of 5 appearances, adding a pair of starts. The Flags re-signed Campbell for the 2022 campaign where he enjoyed a career year. He started 11 of his 12 appearances for DC and added a pair of tries on just shy of 500m gained, adding over 150 tackles on defence.

Following the 2022 season, Campbell featured for Canada in their July tests, and was included in the national team squad for their November internationals that year as well but suffered an injury in training that ultimately forced him to retire from the sport at the age of 30 in December 2022. In total, Campbell scored 3 tries in 22 MLR appearances, starting 18 times and gaining over 800m in possession while completing 235 tackles on defence.
