California native Kai Brandt-Templeton played in Women’s Elite Rugby during the 2026 season. She represented the Boston Banshees for her entire WER career.

A native of Santa Cruz, CA, Kai Brandt-Templeton attended Pacific Collegiate School before enrolling at Central Washington University in 2020. She attended CWU between 2020-2024, representing the Wildcats’ Women’s Rugby team every year. Following her graduation she headed to the UK to earn her Master’s degree at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, also keeping up her rugby with Belsize Park Women’s RFC. Brandt-Templeton graduated from LSHTM in mid-2025, and returned to the US following her year in London and continued playing rugby with the University of California – Santa Cruz Women’s Rugby Club, playing at D1 level.

In 2026, Kai Brandt Templeton headed to the East Coast to take up a position as a Research Assistant at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. While in the greater Boston area, Brandt-Templeton joined the Boston Banshees, earning her WER debut in the starting XV for their Round 9 clash with the Chicago Tempest, a 20-18 victory.
