Tamarau McGahan

New Zealand back row Tamarau McGahan played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

Auckland native Tamarau McGahan plays his club rugby with Takapuna RFC, and has represented North Harbour since 2020, earning over 20 appearances in the Mitre 10/NPC.

On October 21st, 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of McGahan for the 2025 MLR season.

Remsy Lemisio

Australian born prop Remsy Lemisio played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

A native of Grittith in the Australian Capital Territory, Lemisio played rugby through high school at St. Edmunds College before playing with the Tuggeranong Vikings in the ACTRU Premier Division. In 2022, Lemisio was selected for the Australia U20 team for the U20 Rugby Championship, and the following year moved to New Zealand and joined Northland in the National Provincial Championship (NPC), where he played between 2023-2024. He was also called up to the Blues Super Rugby squad at the end of 2023 as coverage.

On October 21st, 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of Lemisio for the 2025 MLR season.

Aki Seiuli

New Zealand born Samoan prop Aki Seiuli played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

Born in Christchurch, NZ and of Samoan heritage, Seiuli captained the Timaru Boys High School first XV before moving to Otago and playing with the Taieri Eels, winning the Dunedin Premier Club Championship in 2012, which in turn earned him a spot on the Otago squad for the 2012 ITM Cup (now the NPC). Seiuli earned just shy of 50 ITM Cup/Mitre10/NPC appearances with Otago (48), and was called up to the Highlanders Super Rugby squad in 2014 as injury-cover, but didn’t make his Super Rugby debut until 2016, again as injury cover. Seiuli was a regular in the Highlander’s 2017 campaign, also coming off the bench to face the British & Irish Lions. In 2019 Seiuli headed to the URC (then the Pro 14), joining the Glasgow Warriors for 2 seasons after playing with Otago again, and was nominated for the Glasgow Warriors Player of the Season for the 2019/20 season. Following 2 seasons with Glasgow, Seiuli headed to Wales, representing the Dragons from 2021-2024 as a first-team regular.

Internationally, Seiuli earned his test debut for Samoa in the 2022 Pacfic Nations Cup (which Samoa won), and he’s earned a handful of international caps since. On October 17th, 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of Aki Seiuli for the 2025 MLR season.

Mikey Grandy

California native Mikey Grandy played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented Anthem RC for his entire MLR career.

Grandy grew up playing gridiron football and was a two-time All-Santa Clara Valley  Athletic League DeAnza Division Selection while at Palo Alto High School, before continuing his football career at the College of San Mateo before attending the University of Texas on a football scholarship where his football career was ended due to a concussion in 2018. He graduated in 2021 nonetheless and joined the Colorado XO program aimed at converting crossover athletes to rugby. Grandy toured Uruguay with the XOs and continued to represent the team after it was renamed the American Raptors, and played in Super Rugby Americas in South America.

On 15th October 2024, Grandy was included in the USA Rugby squad for their 2024 end-of-year tests as a reserve, and was listed as an Anthem RC player. This was confirmed by the team on January 21st, 2025, when Anthem RC included Mikey Grandy on their full 2025 roster.

D’Angelo Leuila

New Zealand born Samoan fly-half/center Alai D’Angelo Leuila played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

Born and raised in Auckland, NZ but Samoa-eligible on Ancestry grounds, Leuila earned his international debut for Samoa against Georgia in 2016, but didn’t play professional team level rugby until 2019 when he represented Auckland in the Mitre 10 Cup (now the NPC). Leuila only represented Auckland for a season in 2019, but was named in teh Waikato side that would go on to be crowned NPC Champions in 2021. He has represented Waikato for 3 NPC seasons, while also playing with the Moana Pasifika Super Rugby side between 2022-2024, and representing Samoa at the Rugby World Cup in France in 2023.

On October 15th, 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of D’Angelo Leuila for their 2025 Major League Rugby campaign. He earned both MLR Team of the Week and Player of the Week honours on his MLR debut during the Utah Warriors’ Round 2 victory over the Chicago Hounds on the road. Leuila enjoyed an excellent 2025 season for the Warriors, earning 4 Team of the Week Selections and scoring 1 try and 95pts (finishing T-4th League wide) to help the Utah Warriors end their postseason drought and claim their first playoff victory, defeating the Seattle Seawolves before falling to the Houston SaberCats in the Western Conference Final. D’Angelo Leuila was an All-MLR Honorable Mention for his performance in 2025.

Kélian Galletier

French back rower Kélian Galletier played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the NOLA Gold for his entire MLR career.

Montpellier native Kélian Galletier began playing rugby at an early age at the Pic Saint-Loup rugby school until he was 15 when he entered the Montpellier HR academy system. He was a part of the U21 side that won the Frantz Reichel Cu in 2011, and became a French Espoirs Champion in 2013, having already earned his Top 14 debut in 2011. Galletier represented Montpellier for the majority of his professional career, earning well over 150 Top 14 appearances between 2011-2022, finishing as runners-up in 2018 and Champions in 2022. Following the 2022 season, Galletier moved from Montpellier to Perpignon where he played for two seasons until 2024. Galletier is a capped international, having earned 6 caps for France in 2016, following a string of excellent performances in the Top 14.

On 14th October 2024, the NOLA Gold announced the signing of a then–32yo Galletier for their 2025 MLR season, joining from USA Perpignan.

Liam Coltman

New Zealand hooker Liam Coltman played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

A native of New Plymouth on New Zealand’s North Island, Coltman played rugby through high school for the Francis Douglas Memorial College’s First XV, playing alongside All Blacks regular Beauden Barrett. He represented the province of Taranaki at both U16 & U18 levels. Following high school, Coltman moved to Dunedin and progressed through the Otago age-grade system, earning his provincial debut in 2010, the same year he represented the All Blacks U20 side that won the IRB Junior World Championship in Argentina. Coltman played over 80 games for Otago in the ITM Cup/Mitre 10/NPC between 2010-2022, but spent most of his playing career with the Highlanders in Super Rugby, earning over 130 caps between 2013-2022, winning the title in 2015. He started for the Highlanders and scored a try in their memorable 23-22 victory over the British & Irish Lions in 2017. Following his career with the Highlanders, Coltman moved to France to play with Lyon in the Top 14 between 2022-2024.

Coltman had been on the fringes of the All Blacks squad for a number of years, and made his debut off the bench during the 2016 End of Year tests, but had to wait until the 2019 Rugby Championship before his next caps. He was named to the New Zealand squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, and earned his first start in a pool stage game against Canada. He was a stand-out during the All Blacks’ 3rd place playoff match against Wales.

On 14th October 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of the then-34yo Coltman for their 2025 MLR season. The former All-Black was a standout for the Warriors in 2025. He started 14 of his 16 appearances, and scored 10 tries to help Utah finish as MLR’s top regular season team and end their playoff drought, and started in their Western Conference Semifinal victory over the Seattle Seawolves, the first postseason win in team history. Not just a close quarters attacking threat, Coltman finished just outside the Top 10 in tackles completed with 172, and was named in the All-MLR 1st XV for his performance in 2025. Following the withdrawal of the Utah Warriors in late 2025, Liam Coltman headed to Japan and signed with the Yokohama Canon Eagles in January of 2026.

Alejandro Pradillo

Mexican forward Alejandro Pradillo, known as ‘Bola’, played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 Season. He represented the San Diego Legion, as well as the NOLA Gold on loan.

Alejandro Pradillo first began playing rugby at age 13 while attending Greengates School in the suburbs of Mexico City. He has represented Mexico at both 7s and 15s level, playing in the Pam Am Games in 2012 and is part of the Wallabies RFC team that won 5 Mexican National Titles. Pradillo played with the San Clemente Rhinos in the World Rugby Tens competition, as well as the Legion academy, from which he graduated.

On October 14th, 2024, the San Diego Legion announced the signing of Pradillo for the 2025 MLR season, becoming the first Mexican player to sign in MLR. On April 28th, 2025, the Trade/Signing deadline day for the 2025 season, the Legion announced that they had loaned Pradillo to the NOLA Gold for the remainder of the season in exchange for Cap Space (unknown)

Tesimale Niupulusu

Utah Front Rower Tesimale Niupulusu played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

A Payson, UT native, Niupulusu played locally with the Salt Lake Gladiators and Herriman Roosters rugby league side. He attended a Utah Warriors Pro ID camp in early October 2024 and impressed. Niupulusu was announced as once of the first additions for the Utah Warriors 2025 campaign, on October 9th, 2024.

At a listed 290lbs, Niupulusu is one of the heaviest players in MLR history, a colossal presence in the Warriors front row.

Mason Barker

Utah back rower Mason Barker played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.

The younger brother of MLR alum Zak Barker, Mason played rugby with Herriman High School before being selected to join the USA u18 side in 2018. He joined the Utah Warriors Academy in 2021 and following a good showing at the Warriors’ Pro ID camp in early October 2024, was announced as one of the first additions for the Utah Warriors 2025 season.
