Front Row Timmy Ohlwein played in Major League Rugby between 2022-2023, and again in 2025. He represented the Dallas Jackals (2022), the Chicago Hounds (2023), and Rugby FC LA (2025).
Timmy Ohlwein, an Arkansas State University alum, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Jackals for their 2022 season. He earned 6 appearances off the bench as the Dallas Jackals went 0-16 in a miserable, no good, very bad inaugural season. Following his debut season, Ohlwein headed to Chicago and signed with the Hounds for their inaugural season in 2023, earning an additional 2 appearances for Chicago.
Ohlwein did not feature in the 2024 MLR season, instead heading to Australia and playing with the Associates Premier Grade side in Perth. On May 2nd, 2025, Ohlwein appeared on the Rugby FC LA bench for their Round 12 clash with the Seattle Seawolves. RFCLA had suffered season-ending injuries to 4 front rowers, and although no announcement was made by the team, it is likely that Ohlwein was brought in as injury cover for the back half of the 2025 season.
