Englishman Stan South played in Major League Rugby between 2021-2023. He represented Old Glory DC for his entire MLR career.

The former England u20 lock had previously represented Harlequins and Exeter in the English Premiership, as well as Brive in France’s Top 14. He earned 24 MLR caps (23 starts) with DC in his 3 seasons playing stateside, scoring 1 try and completing 314 tackles including 200 in the 2022 seasons alone, when he finished T-10th in MLR in this category.

South’s 2023 season was cut short due to injuring in his first game of the season, and on 22nd May, 2023 he announced an end to his playing career due to injury, at only 26. He was a part of the Old Glory DC coaching team during the 2024 season, as Assistant Coach and Lineout specialist
