Michigan native Sophie Lamphier played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the Bay Breakers (2025-2026), and the Boston Banshees (2026).

Sophie Lamphier earned her WER debut when she was named in the starting lineup for the Bay Breakers’ Round 6 clash with the TC Gemini. She has previously represented the Berkeley All Blues in the WPL, as well as the Loggerheads in the PR7s. Lamphier travelled with the USA Eagles to Japan in 2024, and represented the USA Falcons against Brazil in both 2024 and May 2025. She started 4 of her 5 appearances for the Bay Breakers during WER’s inaugural season, and returned for year 2 with the team in 2026.

Lamphier earned a single appearance for the Bay Breakers during the 2026 campaign, before popping up in the Boston Banshees starting XV against the Breakers in Round 7.
