New York native Shawn Clark played in Major League Rugby between 2021-2022, and again in 2025. He represented the LA Giltinis (2021), Dallas Jackals (2022), and Anthem RC (2025).

A native of Potsdam, NY, Clark played football, basketball, and baseball during his time at Potsdam High School, earning tryouts with MLB teams such as the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles. Clark captained the football team during his time at Cushing Academy from 2014-2015, before attending Monmouth University from 2015-2019. He played at tight end for 4 years, earning a First Team All-Big South selection and a First Team Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference selection. His football career culminated with a tryout with the Indiana Colts in 2020, after which he joined the Colorado XO program (later the American Raptors), specializing in turning crossover athletes onto rugby.

Clark, who can play either in the 2nd Row or on the wing, played in 9 of the XOs 10 games during their Spring 2021 season, before joining the LA Giltinis late in the 2021 MLR season, although he did not see game time, instead playing with their academy side. He earned his MLR debut with the Dallas Jackals, starting two of his 4 appearances and running for over 150m gained with ball in hand before returning to the American Raptors for their fall 2022 season. Clark continued to represent the American Raptors from 2023-2024, playing in the Super Rugby Americas competition in South America. When the Raptors announced that they would not be playing Pro Rugby in 2025, Clark returned to MLR, signing with Anthem RC for the 2025 season. This was confirmed when Anthem RC announced their complete 2025 roster on January 21st, 2025.
