New Zealand utility back Renata Roberts-Te Nana played in Major League Rugby between 2020-2023. He represented Old Glory DC for his entire MLR career.

The son of New Zealand Sevens star Karl Te Nana, Renata played rugby through his time at Auckland Grammar School from 2009-2013, slotting a penalty goal to win the 2012 New Zealand Secondary Schools National Rugby League Tournament for Auckland. He followed in his father’s footsteps and played Sevens for North Harbour in 2017, before joining Northland and representing their Mitre 10 (now NPC) side in 2018-2019, and returned in 2021.

Roberts-Te Nana joined Old Glory DC ahead of their inaugural MLR season in 2020, scoring 2 tries in 5 games (3 starts) before the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the season. He returned to the Flags in 2021 and scored 5 tries in 16 games (all starts), gaining 1,092m in possession putting him 4th in MLR before improving to 1,351m gained in 14 games in 2022, finishing 6th in MLR. Roberts-Te Nana represented Old Glory DC for 4 MLR seasons, scoring 15 tries in 35 games (33 starts) and gaining just shy of 2700m in possession.
