Michigan native Nira Fowler played in Women’s Elite Rugby during the 2026 season. She represented the Denver Onyx for her entire WER career.

A native of Southfield, MI, Nira Fowler attended Adrian College and represented the Bulldogs’ Women’s Rugby team while in attendance, graduating in 2022. Following her graduation, Fowler joined Detroit Rugby Club and was named to the Midwest Thunderbirds U23 side for the Women’s National All Star Tournament in 2023. The following year while still playing with Detroit, Fowler headed to Law Vegas to represent Chicago North Shore at the Las Vegas 9s Rugby League competition in conjunction with the NRL. Nira Fowler impressed with scouts present and was invited to an NRL combine before returning to play WPL rugby with North Shore.

In 2026, Fowler was included on the Denver Onyx roster for their 2026 WER season.
