Emily Nelson played in Women’s Elite Rugby during the 2026 season. She represented the Bay Breakers for her entire WER career.

Nelson attended Western Washington University on the west coast, and was a member of WWU’s Women’s soccer team while there. She also played club rugby with the Portland Pigs Womxns Rugby D2 side where she helped the team to a DII Senior Women PNRFU Championship in 2022.

Although she was not named on a WER roster when they were announced in late April 2026, Emily Nelson appeared in the reserves for the Bay Breakers’ Round 4 clash against the Chicago Tempest, earning her WER debut off the bench in a 66-17 victory.
