Massachusetts native Eliza Altobelli played in Women’s Elite Rugby between 2025-2026. She represented the Boston Banshees for her entire WER career.

A native of Holliston, MA, Eliza Altobelli was a multi-sport athlete through high school, playing lacrosse, basketball, and soccer before being introduced to rugby at university. Altobelli attended Penn State University and played D1 rugby with their women’s rugby team while in attendance. Altobelli has also played with Beantown RFC in the WPL, and coaches with both Northeastern University and Brookline Rugby Club.

Altobelli was drafted by the Boston Banshees ahead of WER’s inaugural season in 2025 but did not appear at WER level, returning for a second season with the team in 2026.
