New Zealand native Charmaine Sheffield played in Women’s Elite Rugby during the 2026 season. She represented the Bay Breakers for her entire WER career.

A native of Auckland, NZ, Charmaine Sheffield has played rugby all over the world. In her native New Zealand, she has represented the Massey Kumeu (MK) Rangers and North Harbour, and has represented the New Zealand Police Women on the rugby field. Outside of Aotearoa, Sheffield has played with Landowne RFC in Dublin, Ireland in 2025/26, as well as the Life West Gladiatrix in California in early 2026. Sheffield now joins the Bay Breakers for year 2 of WER.
