Indiana native Bryce Campbell played in Major League Rugby in 2018, and again between 2021-2025. He represented the Glendale (later Colorado) Raptors (now the American Raptors) in 2018, the Austin Gilgronis 2021-2022, and the Chicago Hounds (2023-2025).

Campbell signed with the Glendale Raptors for MLR’s inaugural season in 2018. He earned 7 caps (all starts) including 5 in the regular season, and started both Playoff games scoring 4 tries total as the Raptors advanced to the Championship Final, where they fell 19-23 to the Seattle Seawolves.

Campbell joined London Irish in the English Premiership for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 Premiership seasons, earning 17 caps and scoring 3 tries. Following his stint in the Premiership, Campbell returned to Major League Rugby as the Captain of the new look Austin Gilgronis. During his 2 season with Austin, Campbell appeared in (and started) 29 of Austin’s 32 Regular Season games, scoring 3 tries. The Gilgronis were in first place in the Western Conference heading into the 2022 Championship Series, before they were disqualified along with the LA Giltinis for league violations surrounding the salary cap. Shortly after the disqualification, both franchises ceased operations.

On November 10th MLR held a dispersal draft to find LA & Austin players roster spots for the 2023 season, and to help the Chicago Hounds fill out their roster. Campbell was selected by the Hounds with the very first pick in the dispersal draft, and Captained the Chicago team as Hound #1 through their inaugural MLR season, appearing in all 16 regular season games (14 starts), racking up 745m gained and delivering 119 successful tackles. On 13th October 2023 the Chicago Hounds announced the return of Bryce Campbell for the 2024 MLR season, where he earned another 14 starts in 15 games, scoring 2 tries and completing over 100 tackles for the 4th season in a row as the Hounds advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals before falling to the eventual champions, the New England Free Jacks. On October 16th 2024, the Hounds announced the return of Campbell through the 2026 MLR season. In 2025, Bryce Campbell set career highs in a number of categories, starting all 17 of his games for the Chicago Hounds and completing over 150 tackles (158) for the first time in his career, scoring 2 tries to help the Hounds finish 2nd in the East and qualify for the postseason with home advantage. Campbell started both of Hounds’ playoff games, as they defeated Old Glory DC in the Eastern Conference Semifinal, before falling to the New England Free Jacks in the Eastern Conference Final for the second year in a row. Campbell was an All-MLR Honorable Mention for his 2025 season.

On 25th July, 2025, Bryce Campbell announced his retirement on Instagram after 6 seasons in MLR. he scored 11 tries in 84 games, starting 81 times and gained over 4000m in possession while completing over 700 tackles. Internationally, he earned 47 caps for the USA as Eagle #497, and represented his country at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
