New Zealand born Samoan prop Aki Seiuli played in Major League Rugby during the 2025 season. He represented the Utah Warriors for his entire MLR career.
Born in Christchurch, NZ and of Samoan heritage, Seiuli captained the Timaru Boys High School first XV before moving to Otago and playing with the Taieri Eels, winning the Dunedin Premier Club Championship in 2012, which in turn earned him a spot on the Otago squad for the 2012 ITM Cup (now the NPC). Seiuli earned just shy of 50 ITM Cup/Mitre10/NPC appearances with Otago (48), and was called up to the Highlanders Super Rugby squad in 2014 as injury-cover, but didn’t make his Super Rugby debut until 2016, again as injury cover. Seiuli was a regular in the Highlander’s 2017 campaign, also coming off the bench to face the British & Irish Lions. In 2019 Seiuli headed to the URC (then the Pro 14), joining the Glasgow Warriors for 2 seasons after playing with Otago again, and was nominated for the Glasgow Warriors Player of the Season for the 2019/20 season. Following 2 seasons with Glasgow, Seiuli headed to Wales, representing the Dragons from 2021-2024 as a first-team regular.
Internationally, Seiuli earned his test debut for Samoa in the 2022 Pacfic Nations Cup (which Samoa won), and he’s earned a handful of international caps since. On October 17th, 2024, the Utah Warriors announced the signing of Aki Seiuli for the 2025 MLR season.
