2025 – RD 6: Seattle Seawolves v Utah Warriors

The Seattle Seawolves host the Utah Warriors for a Western Conference clash at Starfire Stadium in Round 6 of MLR’s 2025 season!

The Seattle Seawolves are looking to bounce back after their first ever loss to Rugby FC LA last week, while the Utah Warriors want to continue to build their momentum after a 19-36 road victory over the Miami Sharks. This is the 100th MLR game in history for the Utah Warriors, and they stick to tradition by playing a fellow MLR founding team in their 100th game.

These two MLR founding members have met 12 times in the past, with the Seattle Seawolves holding a 8-3 series lead, with 1 draw. The last time these teams met, the Seawolves demolished the Warriors by a score of 68-29. It was a different story here, however. The Utah Warriors recorded a 27-30 road victory to celebrate their 100th game in Major League Rugby.

2025 – RD 6: San Diego Legion v Miami Sharks

The San Diego Legion host the Miami Sharks for a cross conference clash at Torero Stadium in Round 6 of the 2025 MLR season! The San Diego Legion remain the only undefeated side coming into Round 6, are fresh off a bye week, and looking to go 5-0. The Sharks started the season strong but are coming off two disappointing results and looking to bounce back. These sides have only met once prior to this game, with the Legion taking a 21-22 victory in a nailbiting game during Round 5 of the 2024 season in which Miami’s Felipe Etcheverry recorded 16pts.

2025 – RD 6: Anthem RC v Houston SaberCats

Anthem RC host the Houston SaberCats in a cross-conference clash at American Legion Memorial Stadium during Round 6 of MLR’s 2025 season! Both teams are fresh after byes last week, but Anthem RC are still looking for a first franchise victory. Will they get it against a formidable SaberCats side?

It was a back and forth, high-scoring game that went down to the final moments, as the Houston SaberCats were spared their blushes thanks to a last minute penalty nailed by Davy Coetzer, to bag the full 5pts in a 91pt, 14 try thriller in Charlotte! Anthem RC are getting closer to that first franchise victory, and with another two table points in this one, are moving in the right direction. Scoring 45pts and not coming away with the victory is bound to sting, however. This was the most points and tries ever scored by Anthem RC in a single game, and with 440pts scored all time, this game alone accounts for over 10% of the points the team has ever scored up to this point.

2025 – RD 6: Old Glory DC v New England Free Jacks

Old Glory DC host their Eastern Conference rivals the New England Free Jacks in the first of two Red, White, & Blue bowl games this season! The Free Jacks are flying high after a last-gasp victory over the NOLA Gold in their 2025 home opener, while the Flags are looking to bounce back after a hard fought defeat at the hands of the Chicago Hounds last week.

These teams have met 10 times prior to this match including twice in the post-season, with the Free Jacks holding a dominant 8-2 series lead and are 2-0 against Old Glory in the playoffs. The most recent meeting between these sides was in the 2024 Eastern Conference Semifinal, when New England squeezed through as 33-29 victors after pinning Old Glory in their own end for much of the final 15 minutes. DC’s Connor Buckley recorded the first (and to date, only) playoff hat trick in MLR history in that game, so here’s hoping for plenty of action in this one.

2025 – RD 5: Rugby FC LA v Seattle Seawolves

The Seattle Seawolves travel down the I-5 to face Rugby FC LA in a Western Conference clash at Wallis Annenberg Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Seawolves are flying high after a last-gasp Coffee Cup victory over the New England Free Jacks, while RFCLA are still looking for their first victory of the season after falling to their California rivals in the Cali Cup. These teams have met twice in the past with Seattle holding a 2-0 series lead. The most recent meeting was a 29-12 bonus point victory for the Seawolves in Round 17 of the 2024 season. Can a new-look LA team start to even the series with a win in this one?

2025 – RD 5: Miami Sharks v Utah Warriors

The Utah Warriors travel across the country to Florida to face the Sharks in Miami in a cross conference clash during Round 5 of the 2025 Major League Rugby season. The Warriors are coming off their first defeat of the season, a 17-37 home loss to the Houston SaberCats. The Miami Sharks are also coming off of a defeat to a conference rival, having fallen 18-31 to the Chicago Hounds.

These teams have only met once in the past, in Round 11 of the 2024 season. On that occasion, the Miami Sharks took a narrow victory, defeating the Warriors by a score of 20-19 on the back of a 15pt game from Santiago Videla.
