The first playoff game of the 2019 Major League Rugby season saw the 4th seeded Rugby United New York travel to California to take on the first seeded San Diego Legion for their first ever playoff game, a Semifinal at Torero Stadium.

The game went down to the wire, with Joe Pietersen nailing a conversion on a 78th minute JP du Plessis try being the only thing to separate the teams at the final whistle.
