New Orleans native Will Waguespack played in Major League Rugby between 2019-2024. He represented the NOLA Gold for his entire MLR career.

Waguespack played rugby through at Jesuit high school, captaining the school side in his senior year in 2016, before attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2016-2017, where the lock played a few games at fly-half. He attended the University of New Orleans between 2018-2021, earning his Bachelor’s degree.

Waguespack was signed with his local MLR team the NOLA Gold during the league’s inaugural season in 2018, but did not feature in any league games. Waguespack has represented the NOLA Gold for his entire MLR career across 6 seasons, earning his MLR debut in 2019 and did not play in 2020, instead playing with New Orleans RFC and the Gold academy side. To date, he has earned 46 MLR caps and starting 20 times, 11 of which were in the 2024 season when he also scored his first MLR try and completed a career high 68 tackles. The Gold qualified for the MLR playoffs for the first time that season, however Waguespack did not feature.
