New Zealand Fly-half/Fullback Tayler Adams played in Major League Rugby between 2020-2021. He represented the Toronto Arrows for his entire MLR career.

Like many kiwis, Adams was introduced to rugby early and played through high school and beyond, representing the New Zealand U20s at the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship. Between 2012-2014 he played with the Southland Stags in the ITM Cup (later the Mitre 10, now the NPC) before moving to Australia and representing the Greater Sydney Rams in the Australian Nation Rugby Championship (NRC). He moved to the NSW Country Eagles for two seasons between 2016-2017, and was named Shute Shield Player of the Year in 2017 before returning to the Southland Stags in his native New Zealand for the 2018 season, during which he also earned 2 appearances for the Melbourne Rebels of Super Rugby.

Adams signed with the Toronto Arrows ahead of their 2020 MLR campaign, and started all 5 games for the 4-1 Arrows before the COVID-19 Pandemic cut the season short. He returned for the 2021 season as the Arrows’ primary place-kicker, and recorded 104pts in 12 games (11 starts), finishing 5th in the league. Adams was one of the Arrows players that never got to play a game in Toronto, having started on the road in 2020 and playing the entire 2021 season out of Atlanta due to border restrictions between the US & Canada as a result of COVID-19. He earned 17 MLR caps in total, 16 starts, and scored 1 try and 113pts.
