Nick Taylor was drafted 17th overall by the Seattle Seawolves in Major league Rugby’s inaugural collegiate draft in 2020. The Texas-born, Calgary-raised back was the only Canadian-eligible draftee in his class.

The Lindenwood product made his MLR debut for Seattle on May 2nd, 2021 against Rugby United New York and this was the only MLR action Taylor made that year.

With the Chicago Hounds entering the league ahead of the 2023 season, Taylor was signed to a trial contract and must’ve made an impression, as he appeared in the Matchday 23 for the Hounds’ Week 14 clash against the side that drafted him, the Seattle Seawolves
