Washington native Jack Webster played in Major League Rugby between 2022-2024. He represented the NOLA Gold (2021-2023) and the Dallas Jackals (2022 – Short Term Loan).
Raised in Washington, Webster moved to Louisiana during his junior year of high school and played football and baseball. He attended Louisiana State University between 2016-2020 and began playing rugby there in 2017 for the D1A side. Although he was not drafted, he joined the NOLA Gold following the 2020 MLR Collegiate Draft, playing with the academy side. He graduated to the ‘big club’ for the 2021 MLR season, earning 3 caps, starting 2 of them in his rookie season. 1 of these caps was for the Dallas Jackals, after Webster was loaned to the Jackals following an on-field incident with their team.
Webster improved on his rookie season in 2022, earning 9 further caps for the Gold (4 starts) and scoring his first MLR try. On 28th December 2023, the NOLA Gold announced the signing of Jack Webster for the 2024 MLR season.
