Capped Canadian international Doug Fraser played in Major League Rugby between 2019-2023. He represented the Austin Gilgronis (then the Austin Elite) during his debut 2019 season, before moving to expansion side Old Glory DC in 2020, representing the flags from 2020-2023.
British Columbia native Fraser was signed by the Austin Elite in January 2019, just weeks before the start of MLR’s 2019 season. He earned 4 caps (3 starts) for Austin during his debut season, playing 226 minutes, carrying for 182m and completing 22 tackles.
In November 2019, Old Glory DC announced the signing of Fraser ahead of their inaugural 2020 season. He appeared in all 5 games for DC (starting 4) before the season was cancelled, scoring 3 tries and finishing T-6th in MLR try scoring at the point the season was cut short. In his 4 seasons with Old Glory, Fraser earned 34 MLR caps (18 starts) and scored 10 tries. On the 17th August 2023, Doug Fraser announced the end of his professional playing career on social media.
Throughout his entire MLR career, Fraser earned 38 MLR Caps (21 starts) and scored 10 tries.
