California native Chris Turori played in Major League Rugby between 2018-2025. He represented the San Diego Legion for his entire MLR career.
Turori was encouraged to play rugby by his New Zealand-born father, and outside of MLR, Turori also played in the inaugural Premier Rugby Sevens tournament in 2021, representing the Headliners in Memphis. He has also represented the USA Sevens side multiple times. Turori has played with the San Diego Legion for all 7 seasons of MLR. To date he has earned 38 caps for the California side (16 starts), with a high of 13 in the Legion’s record breaking 2023 season, where they finished with a 15-1 record and advanced to the Championship Final, where they fell 24-25 to the New England Free Jacks.
On 23rd December 2023, the San Diego Legion announced the return of Chris Turori for the 2024 MLR season, his 7th as a Legionnaire. He earned 2 further appearances off the bench for the Legion that year, and on 6th November 2024, the San Diego Legion announced the return of Chris Turori for the 2025 season, his 8th with the Legion.
