Chilean hooker Augusto Böhme played in Major League Rugby in 2022 and again in 2024. He represented the Seattle Seawolves and Dallas Jackals in 2022, and the NOLA Gold in 2024.
A capped Chilean international, Böhme earned his debut for his country in February 2019, and represented his country at their first ever Rugby World Cup in 2023 in France. At club level, Böhme represented Chile’s entry in SLAR (Now Super Rugby Americas), Selknam, between 2020-2021. He signed with Seattle ahead of the 2022 MLR season and made his league debut with the Seawolves before being loaned to the Dallas Jackals as injury coverage following a freak accident. He earned 4 more MLR appearances for the Jackals that season, before returning to Selknam for their 2023 SRA season and the run-up to the 2023 RWC.
On 8th December 2023, the NOLA Gold announced the signing of Augusto Böhme for the 2024 MLR season, where he scored his only 2 MLR tries to date and earned 9 MLR appearances, starting 8 times and helping the Gold finally end their playoff drought. Böhme did not feature for the Gold in the 2024 MLR playoffs.
On October 8th, 2024, the NOLA Gold announced the departure of Böhme. It is unclear if he will remain in MLR or continue playing elsewhere.
